Marcone Moreira (1982) born in Pio XII, Maranhão. He started his artistic career in the late 90s, since then, he has been participating in several exhibitions in Brazil and abroad. His body of work is directly related to the memory of materials impregnated with culturally constructed meanings, based on procedures aimed at representing popular culture in contemporary art.
Noteworthy are the materials chosen to compose the parts, taken from truck and vessels, iron plates and work artifacts. The artist develops a methodology in which the appropriation, displacement and symbolic exchange of materials are of particular interest, covering languagessuch as painting, sculpture, video, object, photography, installation, among others.
