The poetic language and original vocabulary of Shoko Suzuki's works give us glimpses into a delicate universe particular to the artist. Shoko is one of the protagonists who have elevated ceramics to higher conditions in the arts, breaking with utilitarianism and inserting ceramics into new discussions. Still in the 1980s, with Vaso (1983), she already demonstrated her individuality through an incisive cut in the work, breaking the nomenclature and undoing its utilitarian face. In Untitled (c. 1985), the artist works with drawings of plants and elements of nature, something that we witness constantly in her production.
