Amadeo Luciano Lorenzato's work is marked by a visuality crossed by dichotomies. In some paintings, he presents us with scenes inhabited by characters in leisure, work, or contemplation situations. His translation of everyday life presents a variety of imaginary rural, urban, and maritime landscapes. By times abstracts, they emerge from a lived reality, as well as awakening an affective memory. Through the grooves made with combs – a remnant of a technique used to finish wood and marble stucco – Lorenzato imprints a particular texture and points out the sophistication that distances him from the idea of a "primitive" painter. His foray into the minimalism of forms and the simplicity where this vocabulary is integrated into the structure of the painting, giving movement to the clouds and vegetation, is a major feauture of his pictorial research.
