Mira Schendel, in the 1960s, claims the temporality of color. In the artist's work, each material assumes a temporal frequency to be known, revealing its sensibility and behavior in time. In her canvases, the colors look like the product of a reaction in which the influence of a temporal agent still resonates.

Her in-between colors have significant importance from the moment the artist distances herself from an already known figuration. They are a field of frequencies, a "noise" that is deposited on the surface. In her untitled works, this sensorial characteristic of the painting is expressed through the texture that the color assumes, through its dispersion in time. In Mira's pictorial poetics, the form also presents a composition, and her relationship with the concretism of the 1950s becomes evident but overflows with expressive subjectivity.
