livro As Mil e Uma Noites: “Simbá, o Marujo" e "Abd al-Rahman, a História do Rocca do
Magrebe".

The sculpture titled Pássaro
(2018) presents itself as a reduced version of the monumental bird sculptures
presented at the Oficina Brennand and at the Trianon-MASP subway station in
São Paulo, titled Pássaro Rocca. For Brennand, this is the "bird
defender of its baby, guardian of life, of the temple and of the primordial
egg". The roca bird is a species that lived in southern Madagascar until
the 17th century, and is the largest known bird of all time: it was up to 3
meters tall and weighed 500 kg. In literature, roca birds are the giant
predatory birds present in two tales from the book One Thousand and One Nights:
"Sinbad, The Sailor" and "Abd al-Rahman the Maghribi's Story
of the Rukh”.
