"The work is part of the 'birth' of my painting in 2008. A very important detail was the diagnosis of my tired eyesight. In addition to reading glasses, the doctor suggested that I experimented working with magnifying glasses like the ones jewelers and doctors use. The result was a polished set of no more than fifteen canvases, the fruit of my reconciliation with the tip of the brush that had been losing precision as my crystallines became stiff.

The paintings are based on a very simple visual language, typical of ex-votos and a type of primordial landscape, dry and stony. They are filled with imagined biblical characters, like this 'little God' from the caves who solves problems by beating and being impatient. Or like the souls of the four versions of prophets, who present themselves for the same monotonous sentence at the Last Judgment. About my practice, I call it a birth because until then I had sporadically explored painting on canvas and wood, with the bulk of my work being done on paper. In the same period, I also systematized how to graduate blues and earth colors, creating textures with plants, stones, lights, and shadows."
