On the occasion of the exhibition Nicolai Dragos | Seyni Awa Camara, which was presented at Gomide&Co from July 20th to August 3rd, 2024, the gallery hosted Laymert Garcia dos Santos and Luciara Ribeiro for a talk mediated by Horrana Santoz, held on July 13th.
Curated by Laymert Garcia dos Santos, who also signs the critical essay, the Dragos' presentation sought to promote a historical recovery of this original artist, who lived and produced for more than four decades in Brazil. The exhibition brought together a set of paintings from one of his most expressive phases, dating mainly from the 1980s. Alongside Dragos’ paintings, Seyni’s ceramic sculptures was featured for the first time in Brazil, with a critical essay by Luciara Ribeiro. The expography was signed by Lucas Jimeno Dualde.
